We’ve all been there! When life throws a curveball, and you find yourself picking up the pieces. That’s exactly what Queenie (Dionne Brown) a 25-year-old Jamaican British woman living in South London is all about. This eight-episode show is super relatable, especially if you’re part of the Black British community. After a rough breakup, Queenie is out there making all the wrong moves before realising she needs to face her past to rebuild her life. Trust us, this is the series you didn’t know you needed!

Reasonable Doubt (Crime Drama Series)

If you’re into smart, sassy crime dramas, Reasonable Doubt is calling your name because it had me the entire time. Jax Stewart, played by the fierce Emayatzy Corinealdi, is a no-nonsense defence attorney in L.A. who juggles work, family, and a love life that’s anything but simple. This show mixes brains with drama in the best way possible. And guess what? Season 2 is coming real soon! Yes I am very ready over here with all my snacks!

Okay so, Have you ever wondered about alternate realities? Because I haven't haha! But Parallel is a sci-fi thriller that explores just that. This movie takes you on a wild ride through different possibilities, where every choice can lead to a totally different outcome. Featuring the fantastic actress Danielle Deadwyler, Aldis Hodge, and his brother Edwin Hodge. It's a family affair at this point! Grab your popcorn, because this thriller movie will keep you on the edge of your seat the whole time!

Ruby Franke: A Momfluencer’s Double Life (Documentary)
Cr: Apple TV
Okay, I know some of you might not be big fans of influencers, but if you love a good true crime twist like moi, you have to check out this documentary. Ruby Franke rose to fame as a strict ‘momfluencer,’ but now she’s facing some serious charges. This one’s got everyone talking because hmm, were there missed signs? And this why I say, everything on social media isn't bloody what it seems and it can be a dangerous place to become "obsessed" with people.

Unorthodox (Miniseries)
Cr: ameimagazine.com
Need something that’ll pull at your heartstrings? Unorthodox is the one! I honestly felt this so deeply. This powerful miniseries follows Esty (Shira Haas), a young Jewish woman who escapes her ultra-orthodox life in NYC to find freedom in Berlin. The story is so deep and real, you might find yourself questioning if this is how some people live in reality. I know I did and if they make a part two, I'll be the first one watching it!

Black Tea (Movie)
Cr: allocine.fr
Black Tea offers a little unique twist on the classic romantic comedy. Me personally, I'm not really a fan of rom coms but this was very interesting. The story follows Aya (the talented Nina Melo), a young Ivorian woman who shocks everyone by saying no on her wedding day. She then moves to Asia,(I know your like "babes that could be anywhere" I can't give it all away damn it! Anyway …) where she falls in love with Cai, a older Chinese man. This film beautifully explores cultural differences, love, and the challenges of overcoming prejudice. It's definitely one to add to your watchlist.
